Guided Tours

We prepare tours in important place of Sangüesa Area: Monumental of Sangüesa, Javier´s Castle, Monastery of Leyre…and in areas close as medieval village of Sos del Rey Católico.

These visits can be recruited individually or in tourist programs in half or full day.

Guided tours of Javier´s Castle

Emblematic monument, this castle is known mainly because it was the place where San Francisco Javier, patron of Navarra, was born.

A tour of the building is going to discover ways of the life of the saint, this jesuit missionary who preached Christianity in the World, and especially for Asia. But we are also going to bring the Middle, while the Reconquist and a border area with the Muslim territory, where it was necessary cross a lineo f castles, towers… and a series of defensive elements to protect itself from attack.



Throughout the visit we can see a Collection of objets from Asia, a Collection of paintings, models… that complement this journey throught the history of the Javier´s Castle.

Guided tours of the Monumental Sangüesa

Sangüesa is one of the urban and monumental highlights of Navarra.

We began our journey from the arcades of the City Council (Principal Street) to find our way with examples of Romanesque art, medieval buildings like the Palace of the Prince of Viana, convents, Renaissance and Baroque buildings… Sanguesa has a Rich and varied Heritage, and often said that "has a monumento in every street".


In our tour it is oblied to make a parade in front of Santa Maria church main door. Santa Maria is a small romanesque church, but which has a door considered as a jewel in Sangüesa and one of the best exemples of romanesque in Spain. We point out this door to approach to its rich romanesque iconography and in the jacobean Way.

To end our trip, we still visit to the Convent of San Francisco, which has inside a curious Tower clocks Exhibition.

Guided tours of Monastery of Leyre

The Monastery was the birthplace of the Kingdom of Navarra, the former monarchs pantheon of Navarra and the first example of Romanesque Navarre.

The tour of its peculiar cripta and its church brings us to more than a thousand years of history, medieval legends… and we can´t forget th espectacular geographical environment in which the monastery is tucked away and gregorian chants by the monks of Leyre.

Medieval village of Sos del Rey Católico

Sos del Rey Católico is partof the Shire of Aragon Five Villas, in the province of Zaragoza and close to the Community of Navarra (is located only 13 Km of Sangüesa).

It is a medieval town with a historic center in very good condition, we moved to other eras. Given its artistic Heritage, Sos del Rey Católico was declarated a Historical and Cultural Asset of the year 1968.

Today the village retains many traces of urbanization and medieval times, as the tower of the tribute, the walls or the romanesque church of Saint Stephen with its cripta dedicated to Our Lady of Atonement.

The most important and known in the history of Sos, is the Barth of King Ferdinand the Catholic in the Palacio de Sada.

Medieval village of Aibar

Aibar is a beatiful medieval population, which historically served as a redoubt of the nascent Kingdom of Navarra in front of the assaults Muslims, and later as a front border to neighboring Kingdom Aragon.

In the lower part of town is the romanesque chapel of Santa Maria. Following in the streets of medieval typically tortuous route, its architecture, its noble houses and arches… will reach the upper part of town where stands the church of San Pedro.
